Maker Space and HyperDuino

I recently listened to an amazing podcast about Roger Wager who wrote the first user manual for the Apple computer and then later wrote a program called HyperSudio. Technology & Learning Magazine wrote “Most Important Educational Technology Gurus of the Past Two Decades”: Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak, Seymour Papert, Roger Wagner”.

And  Steve Wozniak wrote: “Roger Wagner didn’t just read the first book on programming the Apple computer – he wrote it.”

I later tweeted about his newest invention HyperDuino and to my surprise he contacted me and sent two kits! I now have five students who are joining the Maker movement by learning from doing!

“The HyperDuino does for the maker movement what HyperStudio did for hypermedia: it makes it possible for everyone, regardless of age and experience, to create interactive maker projects.”

– Roger Wagner, designer of the HyperDuino

If you are looking for a great way to get students involved in interactive  learning that is self-paced and so much fun, then let them lose with  HyperDuino and a computer!
